Shannon Milligan

Shannon Milligan was well into her first pregnancy before she began to consider midwifery care, but after meeting with Amy over 20 years ago, became convinced that this was the right path. A passionate advocate for home birth and midwifery care, Shannon served on the Midwifery Advisory Counsel to SC DHEC in Columbia for several years. 

Shannon is wife to David and mother to five children, preteens to young adults, all of whom were born at home. Amy was there to attend four of the five. Shannon enjoys homeschooling, gardening, good coffee and dark chocolate, and learning about natural health and home remedies, but her favorite pastime is spending time with her family. She marvels at how God has brought her birth journeys full-circle to now be able to work with Amy as administrative assistant and to support an amazing team who provides excellent care to mamas and babies.
