Karla Costner, LM, CPM

Karla was raised in the Midwest in a small farming community. After high school she attended a Bible college where she met her husband of 26 yrs. Chris and Karla settled in the Upstate in 2007, where they raised their 6 children. Karla has been actively involved in the birthing community here since 2008. She worked as a doula, childbirth educator, and opened a childbirth/doula business in 2015.

In 2017, Karla started pursing higher education with the goal of becoming a midwife. She started working with Amy in 2018, while in school. Karla passed the NARM exam and earned the title of Certified Professional Midwife in 2023. Later that year, she licensed as a midwife with the state of South Carolina.

Karla enjoys homeschooling her younger children, spending time with her family, and drinking a good latte. In her spare time, she eats copious amounts of chocolate and hibernates with a good book (historical biographies preferred).
